Location
Spiral Horn Safaris offers both bow hunting and rifle hunting safaris in South Africa with more than 30 000 acres of prime hunting land in the Limpopo province of South Africa. These areas provide lush bushveld habitat and perfect African hunting conditions. Spiral Horn Safaris have more than 21 huntable African species Steenbuck, Impala, Kudu, Blue wildebeest, Waterbuck, Cape Eland, Gems buck, Zebra, Roan, Sable Antelope, Giraffe, Leopard and Cape Buffalo to name but a few. Our area is also malaria free!
Climate:
Generally you can expect a warm but dry climate with very low humidity. Our winter moths are May- August and one can expect cool mornings with it heating up during the day and then cooling down late afternoon. Temperatures may range from freezing at night and then heating up to the 70's in the daytime. As you can see from the chart below, from mid May through mid August early mornings and evenings tend to be cool to cold, so don't forget to bring a jacket and gloves. Although the daytime temperatures can be quite pleasant, I recommend layering your clothing so as the temperatures warm the outer layers can be removed.

South Africa experiences summer rainfall, usually late November to early March, so early and late season hunts can expect some rain. The Limpopo Province has very little rainfall in the winter.
I would recommend hunting the winter moths especially if you are a keen bow hunter.
