Kololo taxidermy started 2003.



At this stage Frikkie was working in Lephalale at the Coal mine. The hobby started to become a business and Frikkie had to make a choice!
Frikkie worked at this mine for 21 years before he had to make one of the biggest decisions of his life, to go on working at the mine and do the work he didn't want to do in the first place, OR follow the dream he always wanted to do and start his Taxidermy. (Giraffe shoulder mount in the making).



Frikkie and his family decided to take the biggest step in their lives to try to get the taxidermy off the ground and turn it into a family business.



They moved to Naboomspruit at the end of November 2008.The children moved to new schools and the taxidermy opened its doors in Naboomspruit on the 15th January 2009. Kololo taxidermy does shoulder mounts, floor pedastals, skull mounts, half mounts, full mounts, let tannery work be done at this stage (want to do it themselves, one day!), carving on bone and tusks and finally have your trophies exported by professionals.
